Ripple Appeals to Seal Records in SEC Lawsuit, 280 Million XRP Tokens Transferred via Ripple and CEX
Ripple has made an appeal to Judge Torres to seal records related to the SEC’s Motion for Judgment and Remedies. During this process, a staggering 280 million XRP tokens were transferred through Ripple and a controlled exchange (CEX).
Recent data from Whale Alert, a blockchain tracker, reveals that unidentified addresses have transferred 279.97 million XRP between Bitstamp and Ripple. Notably, the XRP whale known as Rzn has been moving funds to Bitstamp, with the most recent transfer involving 29.97 million XRP.
Of particular interest are the transactions that show XRP being transferred from Ripple to an unknown address via an unknown wallet. In the first transfer, 150 million XRP was sent to the address 7XZ63sKxv3 using Ripple, and another 100 million XRP was sent to the address ….r2SE32hk.
In support of Ripple’s request to seal certain documents, Ripple’s CFO, Jonathan Bilich, has submitted a declaration. The declaration emphasizes the need to protect highly sensitive and confidential information related to Ripple’s contracts with third parties, financial figures derived from non-public audited financial statements, and confidential information from internal financial reports regarding business strategies.
