By integrating blockchain tools into a Web2 platform, VeChain showcases the potential of Web3 for environmental sustainability. The collaboration between VeChain and AWorld will make its first major public appearance at the prestigious Nitto ATP Finals 2023. This feature allows them to calculate their CO2 emissions and receive personalized advice on reducing their carbon footprint. Engaging in this experience also rewards users with exclusive NFTs.
Beyond the ATP Finals, the partnership extends to online challenges valid until December 20, 2023. Participants can join teams, record daily sustainable actions, and ascend a leaderboard to win unique prizes. The top 8 participants have a chance to win Phygital Tennis rackets, which blend the physical and digital worlds, equipped with NFC chips and corresponding NFTs.
Furthermore, if the community completes 50,000 sustainable activities, VeChain will contribute to the recovery of 625 kg of plastic from the oceans in collaboration with the ReSea Project.
