IOTA is continuing its collaboration with the EU PCP program, utilizing its digital product passports and IOTA Streams to provide improved services to residents. The company is focusing on the Middle East and Africa regions by developing customized products to address their unique challenges. Unlike other cryptocurrency projects that focus on price movements and generating hype, IOTA is dedicated to building products that will shape the future. The network hosts a variety of applications across critical sectors such as public governance, real-world asset tokenization, and global trade. Although the IOTA ecosystem may be overlooked by some in the DLT space, the impact of their developments is significant. Recently, IOTA has made notable advancements in government, real-world asset tokenization, and global trade. The partnership between IOTA and the EU involves various projects that leverage IOTA’s innovative DLT approach through the Tangle DAG to digitalize operations. One of these projects is the EU Pre-Commercial Procurement program, which allows European governments to compare alternative goods and services to find the best solution for their needs. IOTA was selected to proceed to the final phase of the program and offers solutions such as digital IDs and supply chain management. The EU is utilizing IOTA’s Digital Product Passports for its digital identity solution and IOTA Streams for tracking and transferring intellectual property in the creative industry. IOTA is also targeting the Middle East and Africa, with a focus on the UAE and other Middle Eastern countries. The establishment of the IOTA Foundation in Abu Dhabi through a partnership with the Abu Dhabi Global Market was a critical move to gain a presence in the region. The foundation has allocated $10 million to promote the tokenization of real-world assets, an area where IOTA has taken the lead. In Africa, IOTA is working with the World Economic Forum and Trademark Africa to promote fair and transparent trade. This partnership provides an opportunity to showcase IOTA’s capabilities to influential global decision-makers supported by organizations such as the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
