IOTA, the innovative blockchain project, has been announced as one of the official strategic partners of the AIM Congress, the largest investment conference in the Middle East. The event, which will take place in Abu Dhabi next week, will focus on the tokenization of real-world assets, with Dominik Schiener, the founder of IOTA, set to present the IOTA Foundation’s Tokenization Framework as a leader in the industry.
The Middle East has rapidly emerged as a top global investment destination, diversifying from its traditional oil business into areas such as venture capital, artificial intelligence (AI), and blockchain technology. The AIM Congress, scheduled for May 7th at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, will bring together global decision-makers to discuss the latest investment trends, technology advancements, regulations, and foreign direct investment opportunities. With over 10,000 attendees and more than 650 speakers from 175 countries expected, the event will provide a platform for networking and knowledge sharing.
As an official strategic partner, the IOTA Foundation will have its own booth at the event, where enthusiasts can explore the latest innovations in the IOTA ecosystem. This includes their partnership with Trademark Africa, their supply chain solutions with the Virtual Watch Tower, and their digital identity solutions, among others.
To kick off the event, IOTA founder Dominik Schiener will hold a pre-conference workshop on May 6th, focusing on tokenization and Web3. The Foundation expressed its pride in being associated with the AIM Congress and highlighted their participation in the Future of Finance track, where they will present IOTA as a leading real-world asset tokenization ecosystem. The IOTA Tokenization Framework allows for the tokenization of any asset, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and providing secure and seamless transferability.
During the conference, Schiener will participate in a panel discussion on the new era of trust in the financial services sector. He will share the stage with Raja Al Mazrouei, the head of Etihad Credit Insurance, and Renat Bekturov, the governor of the Astana International Financial Centre in Kazakhstan.
At the IOTA Booth, visitors will have the opportunity to learn about TLIP, a technology based on IOTA that digitizes and tokenizes trade documents. The booth will also showcase Tokeny, IOTA’s compliance infrastructure for digital asset stakeholders, and Realise, a new tokenization platform developed by local Abu Dhabi startup Nakama Labs.
In terms of market performance, IOTA is currently trading at $0.2267, with a slight sideways movement in the past day and a 30% decrease in trading volume to $10.5 million.
IOTA continues to make strides in the blockchain industry, and its participation in the AIM Congress further solidifies its position as a leader in real-world asset tokenization.
