Impierce Technologies, a leading company in promoting Lifelong Learning, is making significant progress in collaboration with educational institutions in the Netherlands. Their initiatives, such as NGDIL, which promote Lifelong Learning with badging and SSI, have been featured in a comprehensive report on Dutch Skills initiatives received by the Dutch Minister of Social Affairs and Employment. The report highlights the contributions of Impierce Technologies in two extensive articles.
One of the notable achievements of Impierce Technologies is the demonstration of the UniMe platform, which showcases innovative solutions for Lifelong Learning with badging and SSI. The platform’s success was acknowledged at the @SURF_NL education days, where Impierce Technologies received positive feedback and expressions of interest from various stakeholders. Due to the growing interest and demand, the integration of the IOTA Stardust update into UniMe has been postponed until early next year. This delay is seen as a high-priority move to align with the imminent real adoption of these educational solutions in the Netherlands.
In October 2023, IOTA introduced the Stardust protocol upgrade, which brings new innovations to the IOTA network. This upgrade transforms the Shimmer and subsequent IOTA base layer, introducing multi-asset ledgers. Individuals can now effortlessly create their own tokens or NFTs directly on the base layer. Stardust also enables the seamless interaction of Layer 2 smart contract chains with the base layer, acting as a trustless bridge connecting L2 smart contract networks.
IOTA co-founder Dominik Schiener will be speaking at the Abu Dhabi Finance Week, where he will announce IOTA’s expansion plans into other regions. During his presentation, Schiener will discuss the role of IOTA in blockchain applications and its impact in Kenya, the European Union, and the United Arab Emirates. He will also outline the strategic vision of positioning IOTA as the foundational public digital infrastructure bridging the physical world with Web3. The IOTA team has been actively working on building IOTA 2.0 and recently deployed node protocols for Proof of Authority and delegated Proof of Stake implementations.
