The Shiba Inu community has hinted at introducing a major update to its Layer-2 scalability platform Shibarium that could completely revolutionize the way token launches take place. In a recent post by Shibarium Updates on the X platform, it informed that the Shiba Inu ecosystem team is planning for a major upgrade which would make the process of token launches extremely simple.
The post highlighted that the upcoming upgrade is specifically for users looking to explore, invest in, and launch “the next big token” on Shibarium.
Here’s What Shiba Inu’s Shibarium Upgrade Would Mean
The upcoming upgrade on Layer-2 network Shibarium will introduce two major features around pumping and launching tokens. Here, the Pump Token feature will serve as a voting and discovery system on Shibarium that will allow users to explore newly created tokens on the Layer-2 blockchain and vote to enhance their visibility. This initiative will basically empower users to spot promising ecosystem tokens early, ahead of their broader market recognition. Thus, early participants can benefit big time through token launches.
Another major feature that the Shibarium tool will introduce is the simplified token creation tool. Using this tool, users will be able to create and deploy new tokens on the Shibarium Layer-2 network just within a few clicks. This would be similar to how token launches work on Solana-based Pump.Fun.
The purpose of this feature is to cut down on technical barriers while making it easy for anyone to introduce new tokens into the Shiba Inu ecosystem. However, this could present a challenge for users, as malicious actors might exploit the tool to introduce harmful tokens.
Shiba Inu Team Initiative for dApp Creation
This initiative aims to boost Shibarium adoption by streamlining the process of launching and exploring new tokens on the blockchain. Previously, the ecosystem team introduced a similar effort targeting developers interested in building decentralized applications on Shibarium.
They launched the Shiba Inu Developer Portal (ShibDev) while providing developers with key resources such as API management, faucets, node access, and on-chain data. Building on the success of ShibDev, the team is now focused on delivering new tools to make token exploration and creation on Shibarium even more accessible.
On the other hand, the team has been dedicated to expanding its market footprint. As discussed earlier, the Shiba Inu ecosystem continues to grow through strategic initiatives designed to boost its utility. Meanwhile, SHIB has advanced with significant updates to ShibaSwap for improved functionality and ongoing progress on SHIB: The Metaverse.
Furthermore, as per the previous update, Shibarium has introduced a major update: gasless transactions. This allows users to complete specific transactions without incurring gas fees, aiming to improve the user experience by lowering transaction costs.
